Menahem Pressler

Menahem Pressler is a German-American concert pianist who is best known as the leader of the famed chamber ensemble Beaux Arts Trio. Pressler achieved some fame as a solo artist in the late-1940s and early-1950s, however, it wasn't until his debut as a chamber musician at the Berkshire Music Festival in 1955 that the world would recognize Pressler's significant talents as an ensemble pianist. The Beaux Arts Trio was born as a result of this debut, and Pressler would continue to achieve fame and success as a solo and chamber pianist on top of being one of the world's most successful piano instructors - with students going on to earn prizes at almost every major piano competition in the world.
