Manu Katche is a French musician, whos family immigrated to France from West Africa when he was a youth. He released his first solo record It's About Time in 1992, but prior to that he had drummed on many tracks from Peter Gabriel's 1986 album So. Katche is an extremely talented and versatile drummer, who can play everything from pop rock to complicated poly-rhythmic jazz and has backed virtuostic guitarist Joe Satriani, inventive songwriter Joani Mitchell and the legendary singer/songwriter Sting.
