Nightlands is a side project for The War On Drugs bassist Dave Hartley. He released his debut record Forget the Mantra in September 2010 and originally just intended it to be something he wouldn't tour behind. However, fans kept persisting that Hartley form a touring band and play songs from the album live, which he eventually decided to do. Hartley not only played all the instruments on his debut record, but he also produced, recorded and mixed it--marking Hartley as a multi-talented musician and Nightlands a band worth seeing.
