Cage the Elephant, formed in 2005 in Bowling Green, Kentucky, originally had a stronger following in England before catching on in the US. However, after being showcased at the 2007 South by Southwest music festival, the band landed a prestigious recording contract and was able to deliver its style of blues-inspired alternative rock to eager listeners around the world.
