Giannis Haroulis is a distinguished Greek singer, songwriter, and lute player renowned for his blend of Greek folk, traditional Cretan music, and modern rock elements. Raised in Crete, Haroulis began his musical journey performing at local festivals and gained recognition in 2002 with a tribute concert to Nikos Xilouris. His solo discography includes acclaimed albums such as Around Me and Within (2003), Winter Flower (2006), and Witchcrafts (2012), with Witchcrafts earning a Golden Album award. Haroulis has collaborated with notable Greek musicians, including Mikis Theodorakis and Alkistis Protopsalti, and has toured Europe. His live album A Thousand Times Welcome (2015) topped the Greek charts. Known for his unique musical style and extensive contributions to Greek music, Haroulis continues to influence the genre with his innovative sounds and collaborations.
