About
Walter Beasley is an African American saxophonist, specializing in smooth jazz. Known for his mellow phrasing and long legato romantic melodies, Beasley now spends most of his time teaching at Berklee College of Music in Boston. He released his self-titled debut in 1987, right as the smooth jazz movement gained momentum, and has continued to fearlessly progress the genre.
