The Inspirations is a Southern all-male gospel quartet from Bryson City, North Carolina that formed in 1964. Over the course of the quartet's decades-long career, The Inspirations managed to garner nearly every Gospel Music Award in addition to being voted on multiple occasions as the #1 Gospel Music Quartet. Although the band's sound doesn't stray too far from what one typically associates with traditional Southern gospel music, the quartet's electrifying performances and mastery over the genre keep fans, new and old alike, coming back for more.
