Larry Gatlin teamed up with his brothers Steve and Rudy in the 1970s to form the country group Larry Gatlin & The Gatlin Brothers. The group's debut album Straight Ahead went gold in 1979 and was lauded with acclaim for its gospel-inspired take on Texas country and sweet harmonies. While the brothers decided in 1992 to stop touring and Larry Gatlin was picked up as a Fox News contributor, the group has since picked up where it left off and continued spreading its smooth twang across the country.
