Dave Rude writes short hard-rock songs---the 2009 release Carry Me Home has seven songs on it and is only 25 minutes long. When Dave Rude isn't playing with his own band, he is on tour with Tesla playing lead guitar. Keeping true to classic hard rock, Dave Rude has long hair, tight pants and a low-hanging guitar. Dave Rude sings in a higher voice than most hard rock bands which allows his lyrics to cut through the loud drums, distorted guitars and bass.
