Kofi Kinaata is a Ghanaian musician and songwriter from Takoradi, celebrated for his unique Fante rap and freestyle style. Known as the "Fante Rap God" (FRG), Kinaata gained prominence after his success in the 2008 Melody FM (Kasahari) rap competition. His breakthrough came in 2011 with the single "Obi Ne Ba," and he became a national sensation under the mentorship of Samini as part of the High Grade Family. Kofi Kinaata is renowned for hit tracks like "Confession," "Things Fall Apart," and "Made in Taadi," showcasing his blend of humor, storytelling, and social commentary. He has won several awards, including multiple "Songwriter of the Year" titles at the Ghana Music Awards. In 2024, he released his first EP, Kofi OO Kofi. Kofi Kinaata is also a brand ambassador and a goodwill ambassador for the UN's International Organization for Migration (IOM).
