Amphitryon, a French sextet named after a character from Greek mythology, uses unique choral harmonies and instrumentation (like the flute and cello) to bring a characteristic style of gothic metal to life. At times, Amphitryon's music sounds as if it is made by monks in a giant cathedral, then at other times, the group will unleash devilish growls stacked with horror-movie moments.
