Haggard Cat is a band composed of Nottingham natives Matt Reynolds and Tom Marsh. Initially started as a side project, it became the duo's priority following the disbanding of the band Heck, of which the two were members. Since its inception, the duo has gone on tour with DZ Deathrays and played at festivals including Camden Rocks, Glastonbury Festival, 2000 Trees Festival and ArcTanGent. In 2015, the duo released its debut EP Charger and went on a tour of the UK and Europe in support of it. Haggard Cat signed to Earache Records and released its first major-label album Challenger in 2018. This was followed by the issue of Common Sense Holiday in 2020.
