About
New York collective Greatest Hits was formed by a group of friends one evening in 2009 when they decided it would be a good idea to mesh together all of their favorite music. A year later the group had a catalog of over 700 songs and a constantly shifting lineup, all members contributing their musical preferences. This method of combining all of their favorite music involved smashing together countless samples, distorting them and sometimes overlaying the tracks with band members' vocals to create something new.
