Katharine Hope McPhee Foster, who goes by her stage name Katharine McPhee, is a pop singer and an actress. Foster got the taste for singing and acting at a young age as she actively participated in musicals and plays at school. She rose to popularity for her performances on the television show, American Idol. Though she did not win, she continued to pursue singing as her career. She debuted with a self-titled album 2007. It was a collection of rhythmic pop songs. The track "Over It," from this album became a gold-certified hit. Establishing McPhee one of the most promising upcoming pop singers.
