BRAIDS

About

After graduating high school, four friends formed a band under the name BRAIDS and moved from Calgary to Montreal, in an attempt to find a niche in the city's notorious music scene. BRAIDS began receiving attention in 2008 for its ambient pop full of catchy hooks and experimental loops, soaked in the just the right amount of reverb. Since then, the band has steadily built a following and signed to Brooklyn label Kanine Records, which released BRAIDS debut album Native Speaker in early 2011.
