Firebird

Founded by death/grindcore metal musician Bill Steer, Firebird is a British blues-rock band that represents a major shift from Steer's previous musical efforts. That's not to say Steer doesn't retain some of the harsh melancholia that one tends to associate with death metal - it is blues-rock after all. However, Firebird's sound is what has definitely changed; being compared by some to the more famous psychedelic/blues-rock acts of the early 70s.
