Boston College is a private Jesuit university based in the Boston suburb of Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts that was founded in 1863. The Eagles are the sports teams that compete on behalf of Boston College in NCAA Division I games as a member of the Atlantic Coast Conference. Though the school's athletic department hosts a wide variety of sports, including skiing, fencing and rugby amongst others, Boston College is probably best known for its well performing basketball, football and ice hockey teams.
