Middle Tennessee State University (oftentimes shortened to MTSU or simply MT) is a public university based out of Murfreesboro, Tennessee that was founded in 1911. The Blue Raiders are the sports teams that compete for the university in the NCAA Division I Sun Belt Conference. Though the school's basketball, football and baseball teams are well known, its golf and tennis doubles teams have distinguished themselves by winning NCAA national championships in 1965 and 2007, respectively.
