The Ed Palermo big band was formed in 1980 by saxophonist and bandleader Ed Palermo. The band has gained wide recognition for Ed's arrangements of Frank Zappa tunes. Besides Frank Zappa, Palermo's arrangement of composers such as Todd Rundgren, Jimi Hendrix, The Beatles, Shostakovich has made the band one of the most esteemed in the history of jazz music.
