Marcella & Her Lovers is a band helmed by Lafayette, LA-born vocalist Marcella Rene Simien. The band's lineup also includes guitarist-vocalist David Cousar, bassist Landon Moore, saxophonists-vocalists Art Edmaiston and Jim Spake, and drummer George Sluppick. Marcella & Her Lovers dropped its debut record, the EP The Bronze Age, featuring tracks like "Ethel," "We Rewind" and "My Heart's on Fire" in 2014. It spent the next few years touring and opening for acts like Terrance Simien and the Zydeco Experience. The single "Where You Are" became the group's first release of 2020.
