Brittany Howard is a singer/songwriter from Athens, Georgia who might best be known for helming the alternative rock band Alabama Shakes. Receiving immediate acclaim for their debut album, Boys and Girls, in 2012, Alabama Shakes has gone on to achieve widespread international popularity. Striking out on her own with her 2019 debut album Jaime, Howard was able to prove that she's more than capable of making compelling blues-based rock music outside the confines of Alabama Shakes.
