Toni Watson who goes by her stage name, Tones and I, is an indie pop and electronic artist from Mount Martha, Victoria. Watson dabbled with music from an early age. She started gaining a fan base due to her acapella covers on Youtube and local performances. Watson has spent a lot of time in the early years of her career in busking. It was during this time that she perfected herself as an artist. She made her debut in 2019 with the single "Johnny Run Away." It tackled a serious topic and was weaved around poppy music. It became a big hit on the radio and received positive reviews from critics. The same year, came her second single "Dance Monkey," this made her national sensation. The track became a chart-topper in many countries and rewarded Watson four ARIA Music Awards.
