Southern Methodist University is a private research university in Dallas, Texas that was founded in 1911 by the Methodist Episcopal Church. The Mustangs are the sports teams that compete for the University in the NCAA Division I as a member of Conference USA. With a sports program that was launched in the 1910s, the Mustangs have distinguished themselves with multiple winning seasons--especially the baseball and football teams.
