Isaiah "Ikey" Owens, best known as the keyboardist for progressive rock band Mars Volta, formed the band Free Moral Agents in order to expand the sound for an earlier solo-recording project. Largely experimental in its sound and form, Free Moral Agents has since moved on from its more pragmatic roots to become a sensation in its own right, with a permanent line-up established in 2006.
