Led by eccentric trumpet player, Bob Kerr, the Whoopee band is a group of merry pranksters in the European jazz scene. Incorporating elements of dixieland jazz; cabaret style theatrics and an ever-prevalent, wacky sense of humor; the band has been performing around Europe in various formations for over 40 years now. Its somewhat underground success has nevertheless led to a couple of career peaks, like opening for Bob Dylan in the 70s and at one point curating its own German television show.
