Outside of his gig fronting the Swedish indie-pop band Edson, Pelle Carlberg is an accomplished solo artist making catchy and tuneful indie-pop under his own moniker. Carlberg's songs, sung in English, are meticulously arranged, lushly orchestrated and rather clever pop tracks that manage to be epically romantic without being cheesy, due to Carlberg's ever-present streak of wry cynicism.
