As an actor, writer, director, producer and comedian, Amy Poehler is a woman of many talents. An alumnus of The Second City and iO Chicago, Poehler is popularly known for her time as a cast member as well as her guest appearances on the sketch-comedy show Saturday Night Live. Her role as Leslie Knope in the comedy TV show Parks and Recreation brought her immense fame and success. Apart from comedy and acting, she has had several successful projects on the directorial, writing and production front. Poehler is one of the founders of the improv group Upright Citizens Brigade and is also the co-founder of the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater — an improv theater and academy that has served as a launch board for an entire generation of comics.
