Asociația Fotbal Club Dunărea 2005 Călărași is one of the competitors in the Liga II- the second-tier football league in Romania. The club is popularly known as “Dunărea Călărași” and was formed in 1962. It is based in Călărași, a city in the Muntenia region and plays its home games at the Stadionul Ion Comșa. Winning the Liga II and Liga III titles are some of its biggest achievements.
