Albert Hammond is an English singer/songwriter whose characteristic style of erudite lyrics have helped establish him as one of the more capable songwriters of the 20th century. Scoring the biggest hit of his career in 1972 with the track, "It Never Rains in Southern California," Hammond has continued to release material on his own, in addition to writing songs for the likes of Whitney Houston, Tina Turner and Celine Dion.
