About
Real Oviedo is a professional football club that competes in LaLiga 2. Affectionately known as “El Rey de Asturias” and “Los Azules”, the club uses the Estadio Carlos Tartiere as its home stadium which is one of the largest stadiums in North-west Spain. Established in 1926, the club has seen many ups and downs with their highest ever finish in La Liga being the third position achieved in 1963. The club has won five Segunda Division Championships but the LaLiga crown has eluded them to this day. Reputed Spanish players like Michu, Santi Cazorla and Juan Mata started their footballing careers as members of the youth squad of this club.
