Hillary and Clinton is written by Lucas Hnath, the multi-award winning playwright whose previous works include plays such as A Doll's House, Part 2 and The Christians. Hillary and Clinton tell the story of Hillary, who is running for president of the country. But at the moment, she is desperately looking for something which can make her campaign victorious. Guiding her in this process is her campaign adviser, Mark Penn and Bill Clinton, an ex-president who is also her husband. Rather than focusing on national politics, the play stands out by shining light on the politics of marriage, the constraints imposed by gender inequality and outcome that it creates.
