The Connecticut Sun is a professional women's basketball team based out of Uncasville, Connecticut that competes in the Women's National Basketball Association's Eastern Conference. Founded in Orlando, Florida (where there's typically abundant sunshine) in 1999, the team moved to Connecticut in 2003 (deciding to hold onto its original name) and has remained firmly planted in the North Eastern territory ever since.
