About

Growing up in England's Yorkshire county, Emma-Jean Thackray tried to take in whatever her hometown's brass band and jazz culture could give her. She has grown up to not only play jazz but also, produce, compose, play several instruments along with DJing on the side. She explores various genres via her music sometimes completely erasing the imaginary line that musical separates genres. She has served as a resident artist for the London Symphony Orchestra and occasionally performs with Nubya Garcia and Ezra Collective. The EP Rain is one of solo works and is quite acclaimed.
