Formed in 2003 in a tiny apartment of Gothenburg, High Kite Flyers, formerly called Broken Records, began making lo-fi acoustic indie rock because all the band members lacked tech savvy skills and instrumental prowess. Despite the group's aversion to technology, its music went over fairly well on the indie rock scene in Sweden and even though the group members have all since embarked on solo projects, they still reunite on occasion to perform.
