Felipe Renán Peláez Rodríguez is a prominent Colombian-Venezuelan singer and composer, renowned for his significant contributions to vallenato and various tropical music styles. He was raised in Maicao, Colombia, where he pursued studies in mechanical engineering, music, and social communication in Bogotá, ultimately obtaining a degree in social communication. His deep-seated passion for music led him to perform in local bars, where he caught the attention of accordionist Rafael Ricardo, which facilitated his entry into the vallenato genre. Felipe's solo career commenced in 2002, and he achieved notable success with his 2006 vallenato hit "Borracha," which garnered widespread acclaim.
