Damo Suzuki

Formerly a street performer, Damo Suzuki is best known as the lead singer for 1970s German krautrock band Can, and he is still an active musician 40 years after leaving the band. Now known for his experimental guitar and improvisational singing, sung in a gibberish fusion of English, German and Japanese, Suzuki has collaborated with numerous artists that vary from Broken Social Scene to Sixtoo to Acid Mothers Temple, and is thus a highly respected figure across many music genres. While his solo work certainly isn't pop-friendly, Suzuki is evidently a talented and creative musician who's worth seeing live. Suzuki has also been known to tour and record with Barcelona-based trio Cuzo.
