The Russian professional basketball team PBC CSKA Moscow competes in the VTB United League and EuroLeague. Founded in 1923 as OPPV, it first tasted success in 1924's Soviet League championship, and went on to win two more titles in 1928 and 1935. It underwent a couple more name changes before adopting its current name in 1960. This highly-successful team has won numerous domestic, European and other competitions such as the Russian League, VTB United League, EuroLeague and Gomelsky Cup, among others. CSKA plays most of its games at the Universal Sports Hall CSKA and some at the Megasport Arena.
