Haze, whose real name is David Bošnjak, was born on November 5, 1989, in Villingen-Schwenningen. He is a German rapper of Croatian heritage, having been raised in Karlsruhe after his parents emigrated from Yugoslavia. Drawing inspiration from the hip hop movements of the 1990s and early 2000s, Haze lists Eminem and Dr. Dre among his primary influences. He embarked on his musical journey in the 2010s, debuting with his mixtape, Blues aus dem Block, in 2012, followed by Karlsruher Schule in 2014 and the EP Wie der Hase läuft in 2015. Haze is a co-founder of Alte Schule Records and has collaborated with the 187 Strassenbande. His first full-length album, Guten Abend, Hip Hop..., was released in 2016 and achieved a position in the top 40 charts across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. His subsequent works, including Die Zwielicht LP (2018) and Bread & Games (2020), also garnered notable chart success. Haze remains a prominent figure in the German rap landscape, recognized for his distinctive style and a rich blend of traditional and modern hip hop influences.
