German indie-rock outfit Bakkushan seems to have missed the memo that the genre has moved on since bands like Franz Ferdinand and Hot Hot Heat were all the rage. Whether that's a good or bad thing is up to the listener, but the group's attachment to angular post-rock guitar riffs, disco beats and party-time choruses really call to mind all those group's who disappeared as quickly as they came up during the early 2000s.
