Imaginary Cities

Formed in the "heart of the continent"--Winnipeg, Canada--Imaginary Cities is comprised of two musicians who met in 2010 and immediately decided to form a band. Drawing influences from girl groups, R&B and soul, but essentially creating sweet indie pop, the two have built a following in their native country. While it could be argued that front lady Marti Sarbit doesn't have the voice to showcase it so flagrantly, with minimal pop arrangements only acting as accompaniments to her natural instrument, Imaginary Cities still has become a bit of a buzz band throughout Canada, with fans and critics waiting expectantly for the debut album.
