Referring to their music as "ambitionless office disco," Trophy Wife is a trio of Oxfordians that creates gentle, polished electropop that lingers on the band members' ennui. While an attitude of philosophical nonchalance doesn't usually work for most bands, Trophy Wife manages to incorporate enough elements of math rock and impressive, yet sparse arrangements to capture the listener's attention. Already a growing sensation on the UK indie rock scene, with only a 7" single to its name, Trophy Wife's popularity is likely to grow.
