Emerging from Italy's exploding '80s alternative rock scene, Afterhours managed to entice listeners with simple no-frills rock songs centered around crunchy guitar riffs, distorted vocals and caveman style drumming. Though the scene has virtually dissipated - with most bands either breaking up or going mainstream - Afterhours has remained one of the few Italian alternative rock acts to stay true to its roots and carry on with its catchy garage rock ethos.
