The Seattle-based band Yuni In Taxco was conceived in 2008 and makes a downtempo style of surf rock, complete with jangly guitar riffs and simple rhythm accompaniments. While some of the group's surf rock contemporaries have risen to prominence, Yuni In Taxco has remained somewhat of an underground indie sensation. However, with more time spent touring and releasing material, this will undoubtedly change.
