Tate Sequoya Farris, professionally known as Baby Tate, is an American rapper, singer, and songwriter born on May 13, 1996, in Decatur, Georgia. As the daughter of singer Dionne Farris, she began honing her musical abilities at an early age, creating beats by the age of 13. Baby Tate made her initial foray into the music scene in 2015 with the release of her EP ROYGBIV. She garnered significant attention with her viral hit "I Am," featuring Flo Milli, as well as her EP After the Rain. In 2021, she signed with Warner Records, marking her major label debut with the single "Pedi," followed by the EP Baby Tate Presents: Sexploration the Musical in 2023. Celebrated for her vibrant style, she has collaborated with numerous notable artists and has made a considerable impact on the hip-hop genre. Furthermore, Baby Tate identifies as pansexual and has appeared on VH1's Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta, highlighting her diverse career and commitment to her artistry in the music industry.
