When musicians who've been creating a certain style of music for a while decide to turn their back on their respective style of music and charge head first towards another completely different style of music, it can warrant interesting results. This is the case with UK-based electronica duo Silver Columns. The two members of the group were folk musicians for a period of time, but in 2009 after growing tired of the genre's limitations, they delved into electronic composition. Now the musicians are creating interesting, beat-driven tunes that have pop-inspired vocals thrown over the top to create listener-friendly sonic experiences.
