Romy Haag is one of Germany's more esteemed musical performers of her generation. Over the years she has acted in dramas, sung in theater productions, been a carouser of noted men (including David Bowie) and performed in many cabarets. Thing is, she's actually a guy. Born Edouard Frans Verbaarsschott in 1948, Haag has traveled an arduous (and surgically altered) path to get where she is today. While a performance by Haag might not be everyones cup of tea, those who like going to performances by scantily clad girls, who usted to be guys, are sure to get a kick out of it.
