Born in Jakarta, Monita Tahalea first came into the spotlight when she stood fourth in the second edition of Indonesian Idol. Her music stretches over the pop, jazz and folk genres. She debuted with the album Dream, Hope and Faith in 2010. Tahalea actively performs and produces music as a solo artist as well as with her band - The Nightingales.
