Tiburones de la Guaira is one of the teams that competes in the Venezuelan Professional Baseball League. Licoreros de Pampero was an existing baseball team which was formed in 1955, it was renamed to Tiburones de la Guaira in 1962 and thus, the new team was created. It is based in the La Guaira and holds its home games at the Estadio Universitario, Caracas. The team has built a commendable track record with multiple League championship titles. Its roster has been home to many great players such as Carlos Martínez, Aurelio Monteagudo. Ozzie Guillén and many more.
