In 2017 Olivia Devine decided to relocate from Whitley Bay, a town in the north of England, to someplace with better opportunities for budding musicians like herself. She found herself a place in London and started releasing music on social media platforms like SoundCloud. A major record label signed her on just two months after her move, after which she took on the stage name L Devine. Her debut EP Growing Pains earned her a spot on YouTube's Ones to Watch list for 2019.
