About

Glowie, born Sara Pétursdóttir, came to the fore as Iceland's breakout star in 2015. Her father's practice sessions at home, with his band, first inspired her love for music and enabled her to tap into her creativity, experiment and hone her skills. Her hit debut single "No More" made her a household name in the country. The success of her subsequent singles - "Party," "One Day" and "No Lie" - prompted her to shift base from Reykjavík to London, sign-on to a major record label and come into her own with her distinct and bright pop sound. Vice magazine named her one of the hottest Icelandic artists in 2017. Her personal struggles inspired her 2018 hit single "Body," which speaks about the importance of body positivity at a time when everyone is fighting their insecurities.
